What Is “The Divorce Insurance” About?

The Divorce Insurance story revolve around Noh Ki-jun (played by Lee Dong-wook), a brilliant yet unlucky-in-love insurance actuary at Plus General Insurance. After going through three painful divorces, Ki-jun realizes that just like life, marriage comes with risks. And what do people do to protect themselves from risks? They get insurance.

To help the people to avoid the financial struggle of divorce, Ki-jun comes up with an idea of Divorce Insurance. A policy which will act as a safety net for couples going through divorce. He and his team try to make this insurance work. And as they do that we get to see how their personal lives get impacted.

The Divorce Insurance Cast

The Divorce Insurance features some of the impressive cast lineup.

Lee Dong-wook as Noh Ki-jun

Our main lead, an insurance actuary with a sharp mind but a not-so-successful love life. Having gone through multiple divorces himself, he knows the experience of marriage and divorce. For those unaware, Lee Dong-wook is the same guy you loved in Goblin and Tale of the Nine-Tailed.

Lee Joo-bin as Kang Han-deul

A skilled insurance underwriter who joins Ki-jun’s team after her own bitter divorce.

Lee Kwang-soo as An Jeong-man

Ki-jun’s longtime friend and colleague, who is overly cautious when it comes to both money and relationships. Kwang-soo is well known for his hilarious acting and comedic roles (we all are fans of Running Man). So, we expect to see his humours magic in this show too.

Lee Da-hee as Jeon Na-rae

Lee Da-hee plays the role of a financial mathematician who sees love as a numbers game rather than an emotional connection.

Why “The Divorce Insurance” Is Different

While most romantic dramas focus on falling in love, this one focuses on getting out of love with insurance. The show balances its serious tone with comedic elements.

Whether you’re single, married, or have experienced heartbreak, this Kdrama might suit you.

With Lee Won-suk (Killing Romance) and Choi Bo-kyung directing, plus Lee Tae-yoon (Secret Royal Inspector & Joy) writing the script, expectations are high with this Kdrama.
