Burger King has unveiled a new Korean-inspired menu in India. Focusing on the growing Kdrama fans in India, these new Korean burger menu has been tailored especially for Indian fans.
Launched under “Korean Spicy Fest”, these new Korean burgers have been coated with buldak sauce – a spicy Korean hot sauce – complemented by sesame-infused mayonnaise. “We spent nearly eight months perfecting this menu,” says Kapil Grover, Burger King India’s marketing chief.
The timing of the launch coincides with the peak of what many call the “K-wave” in India – a surge in popularity of Korean entertainment, music, and food.
It is interesting to note that, one of the biggest competitions of Burger King, McDonald’s had already released its own Korean-inspired menu a couple of days before Burger King’s launch. When asked about the competition, Grover said, “I don’t think either of us were aware of the other’s plans. Our offerings are quite different – we’re focusing on a more premium and authentic Korean experience.”
Burger King also released an ad highlighting its new Korean Spicy Fest. The video shows young Indians who are in love of Korean culture – from K-pop music to Manhwa comics – before discovering the new Korean Burgers menu items.

Despite embracing Korean flavours, Burger King continues to modify its global offerings for Indian taste. The company’s signature Whopper already comes with India-specific sauces rather than the standard ketchup and mayonnaise used globally. Even items like chicken nuggets feature India-specific textures developed based on local customer feedback.
The limited-time Korean menu will remain available while Burger King monitors customer response, with the company already considering potential future flavor trends to explore.
