Bon Appetit, Your Majesty Story Details
The story is centred around, Yeon Ji-yeong, played by Im Yoon-ah, who is a confident and skilled chef trained in French cuisine. Her culinary career takes a surreal turn when she is suddenly transported back in time to the Joseon era, yes, 500 years back in the past.
Landing straight into the royal palace, she crosses paths with King Lee Heon, portrayed by Lee Chae-min, a ruler known more for his temper than tenderness. But it turns out, the way to king’s heart might just be through his stomach.
As Ji-yeong brings her bold, modern cooking into the traditional royal kitchen, she not only shakes up the palace routine but also starts to unravel the layers behind the king’s fearsome reputation.
The story follows how both of them start to develop feeling for each other as they share meals and quiet moments together.
Meet the Cast
Im Yoon-ah takes on the role of Yeon Ji-yeong, a chef whose passion for cooking becomes her greatest strength and her biggest challenge, in the royal court.
Lee Chae-min plays King Lee Heon, a monarch who hides more than a few secrets behind his cold demeanor. As Ji-yeong enters his world, he begins to change in unexpected ways.
Kang Han-na joins the cast as Kang Mok-ju, a concubine with influence and intelligence, adding a layer of palace intrigue.
Choi Gwi-hwa appears as Prince Je Seon, bringing in a dose of royal tension and complexity to the storyline.

We currently don’t know when tvN plans to release Bon Appetit Kdrama, but it has announced that this drama will be coming in the second half of 2025.
